Training presents a prime opportunity to expand the knowledge base of all horse minded people of all ages


You may train with any BDS Approved Training Provider ( see page ), and may have lessons with more than one.  


Training courses may be full time, part time, or a series of intensive short courses, and costs vary between Training Providers, so you should shop around to find the type and costs of course which suits you best.  


Full time courses are normally work-based and may consist of 32 weeks, which is equivalent to one school or college year. Part time courses are 2 or 3 days per week, semi-worked based,  and will obviously take longer to complete.


Intensive short courses , usually consisting of 2 - 15 days, are designed only for Learners with previous experience of being a harness horse driver, and who wish to reach Assessment standard.


A training program allows you to strengthen those skills that needs to improve and have some weaknesses strengthen
